HUMAN RIGHTS
Approach to Human Rights
We are committed to a zero-tolerance policy for human rights abuses across our operations and supply chain. Our approach is founded on the principles outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. We believe that respecting human rights is not just an ethical obligation but a core component of sustainable and responsible business.
Our Policy and Principles
Our human rights policy is built on three key pillars:
- Do No Harm: We are committed to ensuring our operations do not infringe on the human rights of our employees, contractors, local communities, or any other stakeholders. This includes ensuring safe and healthy working conditions, fair wages, and freedom from forced or compulsory labor.
- Protect and Remediate: We have established clear grievance mechanisms to allow individuals to raise concerns about potential human rights violations without fear of retaliation. We are committed to investigating all claims and providing effective remedies for any harm caused or contributed to by our business activities.
- Respect for Local Communities: We recognize the importance of respecting the rights, cultures, and traditions of the communities in which we operate. Our policies require us to engage in meaningful consultation with local stakeholders to understand and address their concerns. This includes a commitment to the principle of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) in all projects that may affect indigenous peoples or local communities.
